Our verse since our adoption journey began:

James 1:27 - "Religion that God our Father accepts as pure and faultless is this: to look after orphans and widows in their distress..."

DAY 8 in China (Saturday) - We flew to Guangzhou yesterday. Had Rachel's medical exam this morning with about 70 other families in a very hot place. I've never passed out before, but for a minute I thought I was going to pass out! Rachel only had to get 1 shot plus a TB test. She got lucky, because a few others had to get 5-7 shots. More paperwork in the afternoon. Japanese restaurant with the whole group tonight. It's been fun to see the other families with their new kids too. This is another huge city. All of the hotels have been very nice, but this one is the nicest! As nice as it is, we cannot wait to get home. We really miss our 3 sons and the rest of the family and friends!

Rachel had her first grieving/tantrum today. It was hard but I'm so glad she finally had one. It lasted for awhile, but she finally got through it. Otherwise she's extremely happy and playful. She loves the other kids from our group here, and I think she misses the kids she was around in the orphanage. It's so hard because we can't understand what she's saying and she can't understand us, unless it's basic stuff. She talks nonstop sometimes, but all in Chinese! We just laugh a lot because we have no ideia what's she saying! Everything is fine, except for some allergy/sinus junk for me. Counting down the days until we get home. Miss and love you so much Tyler, Austin and Nathan!!
